Acupuncture can work really well along side IVF

The number of people with fertility problems are on the rise in the UK, and many of those people seek help in the form of IVF to assist them in getting pregnant. 

A British study showed that acupuncture more than doubled IVF pregnancy rates. Patients who received acupuncture alongside their IVF treatment achieved a pregnancy rate of 46.2% compared to only 21.7% pregnancy rate in those patients who did not have acupuncture. 

Acupuncture works by stimulating the blood flow to the reproductive organs and balances the HPO axis of the bodies hormones. This can also be a very stressful time for couples and acupuncture can help with this too, as patients find the acupuncture treatments very relaxing. Our studio is a calming and cosy, a place to come and get away from it all.

When going through the IVF cycle fertility appointments are often needed on a weekend or holidays, and are scheduled at short notice in sink with the IVF clinics appointments for you. I am happy to be very flexible with appointments and work weekends and holidays when needed.

I find this work very rewarding and work closely with my patients to help give them support and  guide them through the whole treatment process, which includes dietary and lifestyle advice.
